Just a card

Hi, thanks for stopping by, I hope your week is going well. Have you heard of “just a card”? It’s a community of artists, makers, crafters, small shops and independent businesses. The just a card campaign aims to encourage people to “shop small”, to buy direct from makers and independent shops and galleries. It reinforces the message that all purchases, no matter how small, even if it’s “just a card” are so important to the survival of small businesses.

I’m proud to be one of those crafters who’s joined this campaign. When you buy a card, piece of needlefelted artwork or gift from me it geniunely makes a difference to my day. It makes me smile. It makes me proud that you’ve chosen to buy from me rather than some big faceless shop. It makes me happy that you’ve trusted me to make something special for you. It’s not “just a card” or “just a gift” it’s filled with love, care and a little bit of me.

Every time I receive an order via my Etsy shop, Facebook page, Instagram feed or from a friend it tells me that you believe in me, and it means I can keep creating, keep doing a job I love.

This week, on Instagram, I’m joining in the just a card challenge, using a given prompt to inspire my daily post. Yesterday I was asked to share 10 facts about me, today’s suggestion was to spread the word about the campaign and explain what it means to me.
Why not come over and see my posts and do a search using the hashtag #justacard to see what others are posting too. I’m finding it interesting finding out about other crafters and why they do what they do.

You can find out more about the just a card campaign here, why not go and look.

If you found this post useful and or interesting please share it on social media / Pinterest , for others to read to.

Until next time .....
